With summer ahead and many destinations resuming operations, your own backyard and local park might still be the best place to take a break with family and friends. Meet Sydney Dragon, a Student Conservation Association Intern with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Sydney will continue teaching us about birds in our area and what that means for them, and what having them in our world means about the environment. She leads monthly walks in DFW to help folks glimpse all species of winged friends. The program also introduces the #BigYearAtHome campaign and the May challenge for birds. The campaign is made possible through a partnership between the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Partners in Flight, Klamath Bird Observatory, and the #BigYearAtHome campaign. We have lost about 3 billion birds since 1970 and we can help bring them back.
