The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.

Stop by the Vickery Park Branch Library every Wednesday @ 4 pm to learn the rules and strategies of chess! This program is suitable for kids ages 7 and up and welcome to all!

Take an afternoon break and enjoy learning how to build simple crafts. This month's craft: a small winged dragon made of popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, and other common materials. All materials will be provided.

Practice self-care with an open hour to work on crochet projects or play board games in the afternoon!

A Kaleidoscope is a toy consisting of a tube containing mirrors and pieces of colored glass or paper, whose reflections produce changing patterns that are visible through an eyehole when the tube is rotated.
