The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.

Join AIDS Walk South Dallas every 3rd Thursday for a conversation with providers and consumers to explore effective ways to improve the South Dallas community and the quality of life for people impacted by HIV/AIDS. Lunch will be provided.

Parkland Health is hosting free HIV screening with no registration or appointment required. Results will be confidentially provided within 1 minute.

Teens are invited to the library once a month for a fun life skills class to learn about subjects and best practices of being an adult. This program will be intergenerational and open to teens, adults and seniors!
