James Pratt was a renowned architect in Dallas known for designing some of the city’s most well-known structures including the Apparel Mart, Brookhaven College, and his restoration of Old Red Courthouse. Over the past 30 years, James Pratt donated his materials from past projects to the library, including a few projects of Dallas structures that never came to fruition. This program celebrates the long-awaited opening of the rich architectural collection of James Pratt, and his work both individually and with Pratt, Box, and Henderson. There will be an exhibit on the 7th floor of James Pratt’s projects from past and future as well as a discussion on his contribution to the city.
