In Celebration of Black History Month: African Textiles with Rene Michea'l Jones

Celebrate Black History Month with us at the Dallas West Branch Library!
We have invited local artist, Renee Michea'l Jones to lead you through an expedition of the traditional culture and history of African textiles as a medium for storytelling. Through mindful exploration, you will consider your personal story and incorporate your tale into African textile forms such as Dahomey Applique, Nigerian Adire, West African Adinkra and Senegalese Inking.
