DESCRIPTION:Get ready to pull back the curtain on the invisible forces of
the universe! In this hands-on workshop, young engineers will dive into th
e fascinating world of electromagnetism to build their very own simple mot
or from scratch. Using just an AA battery, copper wire, and powerful neody
mium magnets, participants will witness a scientific phenomenon in real-ti
me. By channeling an electric current through the wire, they’ll create a
magnetic field that dances with the magnets’ field, generating the forc
e needed to make their creations spin. Part of SMART Summer sponsored by
the Friends of the Dallas Public Library.
