Canvas y Cultura: Bilingual Art Adventures

Entre al mundo vibrante del arte hispano mientras aprende sobre los estilos y artistas que han impactado a la cultura hispana a través de su arte en esta nueva serie de talleres de arte. Este mes, aprenderemos sobre la vida de la pintora cubana Amelia Peláez y sus contribuciones al estilo moderno del arte latino. Tomando inspiración de sus obras, crearemos una pintura de medios mixtos incorporando líneas fuertes y siluetas que se enfocan en objetos cotidianos.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Hispanic art as we study the people and styles who have impacted Hispanic Culture through their art in this new art workshop series. This month, we will learn about Amelia Peláez's life and contributions to the modern style in Latin and Hispanic art. Inspired by her work, create a mixed-media painting incorporating bold lines and silhouettes that focus on everyday objects.
