Event Details

Crafternoons every Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Forest Green Branch Library!

In celebration of Black History Month, we have invited local artist Renee Michea'l Jones to lead "Roots for Youth," a workshop in African textiles.

In Roots for Youth, participants explore the traditional culture and history of African textiles as a medium for storytelling. Through mindful exploration, participants consider their personal stories and incorporate their tales into African textile forms such as Dahomey Applique, Nigerian Adire, West African Adinkra, and Senegalese Inking.

Supplies are provided while supplies last.
