Celebrate Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage Month with todays crafternoon craft of Leis!

Leis were worn initially by ancient Polynesians and some Asian people and often used by Native Hawaiians to signify their ranks and royalty. Today leis are worn and given out to anyone, generally to relay peace, love, honor, or friendship.

Be sure to stop by the Forest Green Branch on May 21 for a Hula Workshop led by Ka Pā Hula O Manulani
