Earth Day Every Day! - Earth Friendly Shopping for the Conscious Consumer

Meet Jamie Leidelmeyer, Head of Sustainability for Hive Brands, an online marketplace for brands and products focusing on ethical and eco-friendly consumer goods. If you haven’t heard of them, it may be because they just launched the company October 2020, yes, during a pandemic! Hive Brands offers groceries and household products sourced from people and companies that deliver sustainable solutions through better ingredients, packaging, and operations. Demystify the often-greenwashed shopping experience by learning tips on what to look for and ways to be a more conscious consumer.

At Hive, Jamie acts as the first line of defense for evaluating products and brands against Hive’s onboarding criteria, in addition to educating consumers on how to effectively “green” their shopping practices. He believes the key to successful impact in any area is by starting with small, achievable changes that can be made every day. Jamie holds a BS in Pre-Medical Studies from Virginia Tech and an MS in International Development from the Université Grenoble Alpes.
