Event Details

Join us Tuesday through Friday as we celebrate all things green this Spring Break!

Tuesday we'll be learning all about plants, and you'll get to decorate your own pot that you'll take home with a plant of your own.

Wednesday we'll hear from a member of City of Dallas's water utilities department about what we can do to be "green" at home with their Cease the Grease and Defend Your Drains programs, including a cool craft you can do with recycled oil.

Thursday we'll keep up our environmentally green theme as we talk about other ways to recycle and even do some recycling of our own by turning the library's old newspapers into pinatas.

Friday is St. Patrick's day, so to celebrate we're spreading the green - literally! We'll be learning all about the color green as we mix up some green icing before decorating some Shamrock cookies.

Recommended for ages 6 to 13.
