It may seem too early to be thinking of flowering bulbs, but fall is the perfect time for adding color to your garden for the winter and early spring.  Learn what bulbs to plant now for beautiful color later from Stan Aten from the Rainbow Garden Club North Texas.  Stan will share lots of photos from his garden for inspiration about what will work in the North Texas area.

Stan did not start gardening until he bought his house in 1986. It was an older home with an established garden. He learned to garden by touring public gardens around the state and thru gardening programs, many of them presented by the Dallas County Master Gardeners.

Stan helped start the Rainbow Garden Club North Texas in 1992 and ever since then he has been active in gardening. He is currently President of the Rainbow Garden Club North Texas, member of the Iris Society of Dallas, Texas Daffodil Society, and the treasurer of the Dallas Council of Garden Clubs.

In Stan's small urban garden, he grows a wide variety of flowers, shrubs and even tomatoes. He still looks forward to touring public gardens.

Grow with Us is a series of online sessions from the Dallas Public Library - Seed Library and Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability hosting expert speakers to share practical, informative, and inspirational information about growing and urban agriculture in Dallas.
