Event Details

Come to Kleberg Rylie Library every Thursday after school*  starting October 26 to be a part of our new Library Out Loud Program: We Are the Earth. If your elementary students only participate in one project experience this school year, this is the one you want.  It is a multifaceted, multisensory program that truly engages the whole child while satisfying core standards. Through the science of growing food students explore the symbiotic life cycles of humans and plants, while discovering the value of economic empowerment, self-development and health. They examine the connections between: planting seeds - the cycle of life, soil science – the earth’s skin, cells – microbial life of the soil, and composting – digestion.

* There will not be a Library Out Loud Program on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, due to the library being closed for the holiday.
