Whether you are new to the game or a seasoned pro, come and join us for the Youth Discovery Center's MTG: Commander Club! In this group, we will be exploring all of the in's and outs of the Commander format in Magic the Gathering!
With over 20 million players across the globe and a rich 30-year history, Magic the Gathering is an incredible tool for kids to learn complex problem solving, simple math, and open up their imagination. It is also a social tool, especially in Commander, as you can play with as many people in a "pod" as you desire!
Bring your pre-constructed or homebrewed decks to Kahn's Pavilion on the 2nd Floor and meet our YDC MTG Liaisons to teach you how to play, help you understand rulings, or just keep a watchful eye on a game you make with a friend, new or old!
PLEASE NOTE: This event is for children and teens. No adult is allowed to this event unless accompanied by a child. Parents and Guardians of children are welcome to play with their children and we welcome all Magic the Gathering minded parents!
You may bring your own cards from home, but Dallas Public Library is not responsible for any damaged product.
We will have bulk cards for children to look at and build a deck with if they'd like!
Please treat everyone with respect in the club!
