Dallas Public Library strengthens communities by connecting people, inspiring curiosity, advancing lives, and working for racial equity. We are looking to fulfill the mission through this open call opportunity, facilitating a platform for artists to share their perspective of varying Dallas neighborhoods for a virtual neighborhood series titled, Dallas 101.

We are expressly encouraging visual art makers of all backgrounds and to submit their work in the form of an image that can be used for coloring. Modest honorarium will be provided. The project will run from February 1-December 31.

Artists are encouraged to submit work that is inspired by the different neighborhoods in Dallas. We are especially interested in any quirky or overlooked angles of each neighborhood. The goal is to show the true character and culture of each neighborhood through these images. Artists can submit for multiple neighborhoods.
