Program Description

Event Details

Learn about the history and process of stop motion animation and create a short film of your own! Many famous shows and movies such as Wallace and Gromit, Coraline, and The Nightmare Before Christmas were created through a process known as Stop Motion. In this program, aspiring young filmmakers will work in teams to create an original film using this same technique. Teams will plan, script, film, and edit the movie over the course of four days. Topics covered will include how to create a compelling story, how to use Claymation characters, and how to edit the film. Space is limited. Registration is required. More information on registration may be found here. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library.
