Our Creative Learning Room will be open six days a week for children ages 0-5 with their adults. Experience our sensory wall, life size building blocks, and a play kitchen space. Parent or caretaker supervision is required at all times.

Drop in for a do-at-your-own-pace activity to build early literacy skills. Get hands-on to read, write, play, sing and talk to have fun while you boost reading readiness.

City Hall on the Go! provides select City services at special events and locations throughout Dallas in a convenient mobile unit.

Weekly yarn craft meetup for adults

You are invited to attend free GED preparation classes at the Dallas Public Library. Registration is available in class, and no ID is required.

No tech skills? No problem!

"Dallas City Hall on the Go" will be providing select city services in their mobile unit located in the Lochwood Branch Library parking lot.

Fridays at 3pm will be the guitar/ukulele class!

Classes run from the weeks of January 4 - March 31, 2023.

Spring music classes for school-aged students 6-12 yrs on Wednesdays and Fridays. 

1 on 1 dedicated computer help with a staff member from the Dallas Public Library. We can help you with your computer skills, accessing social services, connectivity, job applications, creating a resume and more.

Visit the Prairie Creek branch every Friday from 3:30- 4:30pm and have some fun after school.  Make crafts, color, read, or make new friends!

Happy Black History Month! Garrett Morgan was a prolific inventor. One of his most significant inventions was a traffic signal. Celebrate Black innovation with a craft to make a traffic light.

Decorate your way! This craft will have you carving an image into a linocut block to use as a stamp! Create prints to hang on your wall or stamp a plain tee for a unique outfit! Adults only, supplies provided.

Fridays at 4pm will be a violin class!
