The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.

Reading to therapy dogs can help improve kids' confidence in their reading abilities. Since dogs are not judgmental, kids can read to them without feeling the pressure and anxiety that may come from reading to peers. 

The Cliburn is an internationally recognized piano competition. Their mission is to advance classical piano music throughout the world.
