It's adventure time!

Join us every other Saturday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM for Saturday Stitchery at the Library! Whether you crochet, knit, embroider, or enjoy any other craft, this is the perfect time to bring your project and work alongside fellow crafters.

1 on 1 dedicated help with a staff member from the Dallas Public Library. We can help you fill out applications, update your resume and find out about local resources that can help you take the next step in your career.

On the third Saturday of each month, we come together for a lively Music and Movement class designed just for toddlers and preschoolers! This fun-filled class features:

Learn the basics of computer formatting from typing, accessing the web, and learning general computer software and more. 

Drop in as we shine a light on a few holiday traditions from around the globe. Play a game of find the pickle, create an apple ornament, decorate Dala horse foam "cookies", and try your luck at getting the treats in the shoe.

• Free English classes. All are welcome. No library card or I.D. required. Register in-person during class. 

Sip your favorite brew as Addictive Books explores captivating stories, shares diverse perspectives, and creates a haven for bookworms once a month on Saturday at Union Coffee in Oak Lawn.

Practice the skills you need to be ready to read. Hear stories, sing songs, jump around and learn! Suggested ages: 18 months - 3 years old.

Call ahead to schedule one-on-one time to work on basic technology problems you are having.
Thursdays, Fridays,  & Saturdays, by appointment only.  Fridays are bilingual.

This quieter, more relaxed play session will offer pre-school children of all abilities (suggested ages 2-5 years) an opportunity to understand their senses.

Join us for a fun, festive, family activity! For this activity, families will decorate bottles with different holiday designs and themes.

Add a little mischief to your holiday with a grinchy holiday party. You'll get the Whoville experience, full of grinchy fun, featuring an ornament craft and other fun activities. The Grinch himself will stop by for photos!

End-of-quarter recital for DPL music program. Students will showcase their talent and perform pieces for friends and family. 

Meet other musicians, learn new songs, and play together in a relaxed and supportive environment. Acoustic musicians of all skill levels are invited to bring an instrument and join in. 

All are welcome to enjoy the music!

Pokemon 101. Calling all aspiring trainers! Do you love Pokemon and are curious about learning how to play the card game? Come join us for a fun time going over the basics of the card game and prepare for future battles!

Grab your gear and join our party while we make "kit-bashed" miniatures!

Take over the library and make some duct tape crafts to give to those you love during the holidays, or keep for yourself. Learn how to make a duct tape wallet, bracelets, and other items. 

Are you new to knitting or crocheting? Don't worry—all skill levels are welcome, and we're happy to help you learn.

Are you ready for a festive day of fun at Highland Hills?! Our Reindeer games program is designed for kids with various exciting games centered around the holiday season.

One Saturday a month we do something fun for the whole family!

Fiber arts are fun for all ages! Stop by to practice your crochet, knitting, weaving, embroidery, or whatever other fiber arts activity you'd like in the company of a group of like-minded (soon-to-be) friends!

Attention all Paladins, Clerics, and Bards! Come learn to play Dungeons and Dragons or start up your own adventure. Beginners and Experts are all welcome at the table.

Made with plastic jars and battery operated candles, for a safe way to light your holidays.

Add the library to your holiday check list and wrap your gifts for free! We will have self wrapping stations and card making stations just in time for the holidays.

This show stars Jingle the Elf and Jolly the Snowman. Throughout the show Jingle will tell the kids about his responsibilities in Santa's workshop and during the grand finally, Jolly the Snowman comes out to help everyone sing a hoilday carol.

Whether you are picking up a hook for the first time or you are a seasoned pro, this afternoon is all about relaxing and getting creative! All ages are welcomed.
