For better development, babies require experiences that help them understand the world around them.  Come spend 30 minutes in a controlled environment where you will learn how to stimulate your baby's senses.

Children's senses are developed through guided play. Come practice your little ones' fine and gross motor skills for 30 minutes and learn at the same time how to continue the stimulation at home.

A representative from Cedar Hill State Park will come to the library to engage with the audience and present information about the different animals that live within the state park.

Come meet and learn about different live animals with the Creature Teacher! 

Squeeze, squish, and stretch!

 Kids will create their own squishy sensory stress ball. 

This is a hands-on craft that's satisfying to make and even more fun to play with!

Become an Energy Explorer this spring break!

We'll be using a variety of activities and experiments to answer questions like, "What is energy?" and, "Where does energy come from?"

Spend the afternoon at the library tinkering with technology! Staff will guide participants through hands-on experiences that are both educational and fun for the whole family.

We invite teens to participate in our Spring Switch Tournament: Super Smash Bros! This will be a week long tournament where you get points for attendance and for your placement in your matches.

RUH-ROH—mystery afoot! Families are invited to step into a Scooby-Doo–inspired mystery room where the Mystery Inc. gang needs help cracking clues, solving puzzles, and outsmarting a sneaky villain.

Explore the world around you through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. 

This month we will learn about camouflage. Why do some creatures hide in plain sight and how do they do it?

Bring the family for a kid-friendly movie screening. Repeats weekly. 

Flex your engineering skills and creative muscles with building bricks! Each month will have a different theme.

Imagination Playground

Immerse your child in an imaginative play space that they and other children create using big blue foam blocks, imagination and cooperation. Are you intrigued? Great we hope to see you there!

ArtVenture with the Dallas Museum of Art is the perfect continuation of our Spring Break Adventure Week! 

Build, stack, and brick by brick rise to the challenge! Kids will take on a fun LEGO challenge where imagination meets problem-solving and creativity clicks into place.

Celebrate Spring Break in style with a free visit from the YMCA Game Truck!  The YMCA Game Truck is an Esports gaming center on the go.

Join us every Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 PM for hands-on crafts that spark creativity and curiosity! Every week, you can color, create, and explore fun new activities.

 📚 Need a little homework help? Kids ages 6–12 can bring their questions to the library and get help from our staff.  📚
