Week Calendar

Calling all knit, crochet, needlepoint, cross-stitch, sewing and fiber arts enthusiasts!   Bring your projects and materials for a morning "in stitches" with other fiber craft artists.  All skill levels are welcome! 

Visit the Prairie Creek branch every Saturday from 10:00am - noon for our weekly gathering to share patterns, projects, and socialize.

Reading to therapy dogs can help improve kids' confidence in their reading abilities. Since dogs are not judgmental, kids can read to them without feeling the pressure and anxiety that may come from reading to peers. 

Groove Line Dance is fun way to dance and engage with others. This class begins with a simple guided warm-up to old school R&B music.

In celebration of Black History Month, we have invited local artist Renee Michea'l Jones to lead "Roots for Youth," a workshop in African textiles. 

The Antebellum Southern Plantation Records can offer multifaceted views into many white and African American Southern families.

Weekly yarn craft meetup for adults

Decorate your way! This craft will have you carving an image into a linocut block to use as a stamp! Create prints to hang on your wall or stamp a plain tee for a unique outfit! Supplies Provided. Ages 15 & up only.

Are you new to drawing? Has it been some time since your last sketch? Want to learn the fundamentals every artist needs to start their journey?

 Learn some basic embroidery stitches to embroider a patch displaying a heart made of roses and foliage.

We have partnered with local artist, Jennifer Wester to teach a traditional Cyanotype art class. Cyanotype is a 19th-century photographic process that prints in the sun and produces a beautiful blue image.

You are invited to an exciting experience!

Registrants receive a painting kit to be picked up at the Polk-Wisdom Branch.

Crafternoons every Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Forest Green Branch Library!
