Canvas y Cultura: Lizeth Prieto

Entre al mundo vibrante del arte hispano/latine mientras aprende sobre los artistas y estilos que han impactado a la cultura hispana a través de su arte en esta nueva serie de talleres de arte. 

Este mes aprenderemos sobre la acuarelista peruana Lizeth Prieto. Sus obras tienden a enfocarse en objetos encontrados en la naturaleza, como los depósitos minerales o las flores. Estudiaremos el rango de matices que se puede crear con las acuarelas al ir agregando capas de pintura lentamente, aumentando la saturación de color para hacer un gran rango de valores. 

Este programa será presentado en inglés y español. Todos los materiales necesarios serán provistos de antemano. 

Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of Hispanic and Latine art as we study the people and styles who have impacted Spanish Culture through their art in this new art workshop series.

Learn about Lizeth Prieto, who is a Peruvian watercolor artist. Her primary subjects for painting are things based on nature, such as mineral deposits and flowers. We will study the range of tint you can create with watercolor as you slowly add layers, increasing the saturation of color to create a wide range of values. 

This presentation will be presented in English and Spanish. All supplies are provided to complete this activity.
