The CDC recommends masks as a simple barrier to help prevent respiratory droplets from traveling into the air and onto other people when the person wearing the mask coughs, sneezes, talks, or raises their voice. Disposable masks keep us safe but create a lot of waste, can be a source of litter and are not recyclable. Reusable, washable face coverings are a green and safe alternative. This session will show you how to upcycle a t-shirt into 5 no sew, DIY face coverings!
Make face masks during the session with these materials:
- A Large or XL t-shirt
- A good pair of scissors
- A thin marker, ink pen, or piece of chalk
- An 8.5x11" piece of paper
- A ruler
