Thrifting 101, is a presentation for newbies and veteran thrifters who need to polish their shopping skills. Carmina will share some tips on how to inspect pieces to make sure you’re taking quality garments into your closet. She’ll also share tips on how to navigate a thrift store when shopping. We’ll also look at some “digital thrifting apps” that allow you to shop secondhand without having to leave your home.

Carmina Tiscareño from Mina Del Tex is a content creator with a focus on sustainable fashion and a freelance fashion stylist. Through her blog she shares different ways one can slow down their clothing consumption in order to build a conscious wardrobe. 

Earth Day Every Day is a series of online environmental education sessions continuing with the Earth Day theme and bringing expert speakers, special program topics, and a reminder that every day is Earth Day. Presented by Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability (DEQS; Green Dallas).  These topics empower Dallas residents to make sustainable choices that improve the quality of life for everyone in Dallas and the world.
