Celebrate freedom and unity at our Juneteenth event!
Stop by for a morning filled with storytelling and crafts as we honor Juneteenth's rich history and culture. Learn about the significance of this day with a Human Library experience while enjoying fun activities for the whole family.
- Human Library Experience at 10 to 12 p.m. in the Blackbox Theatre
- Our "Human books" participate in the form of community members who have captivating, valuable stories to share.
- Registration not required, but appreciated!

- Sound Anthropology with Iv Amenti at 12 p.m. in the classroom
- Audiences will listen, dialogue, and reflect on the sounds of traditional slave folk songs, ring shouts, civil rights era music, 80’s social hip hop, and contemporary resistance artists who have been the underscore of the African American plight for freedom.
- Through the event, there will be crafts, music, and an interactive coloring wall!
