Afterschool STEAM: DIY Kaleidoscope

Program Description

Event Details

Colorful patterns everywhere! Kaleidoscopes are an optical instrument invented in 1817 that uses two or more reflective surfaces and colorful objects to make symmetrical patterns from the repeated reflection. We will make our own kaleidoscopes using a cardboard tube, mirrored sheets, a bendy straw, cardstock paper, markers and tape. Each attendee will take home their creation.

This program is sponsored by the Park Forest Library Friends.
