The North Central Texas Council of Governments’ (NCTCOG) Environment and Development department helps local governments address environmental and development related issues through a variety of regional initiatives and programs.

In this class we will be presenting a more in depth understanding of music theory. This is a continuation of concepts presented in the Beginning Theory Class which meets on Tuesdays.

Learn how to read music, understand chord and melodic theory, and to play the piano or keyboard. Participants are encouraged to attend a weekly session, but can join at any time.  

1 on 1 dedicated computer help with a staff member from the Dallas Public Library. We can help you with your computer skills, accessing social services, connectivity, job applications, creating a resume and more.

Interested in learning to play the guitar? Dust that guitar in the corner off and let's play some songs. You'll learn basic chords and strumming patterns, as well as a bit of music theory in the process.

We are celebrating French Language Day with crafts and other activities! 

We are now switching from the Grab & Go kits to in-person afterschool activities. 

It's game night at Oak Lawn Library! Join us in the auditorium for an hour of board games and more! Kids are welcome to bring their own games for sharing, but all supplies and games will be provided. 

Finished your homework and have nothing to do? We have just the program for you! Come and experience the excitement of playing video games on the game truck.

Create your own handheld flying butterfly puppet and learn a little about physics and movement!

Visit the Pleasant Grove Branch for Out of School Time programs every Thursday at 4pm for kids ages 5 years old and up.

Join us the 4th Thursday of every month for a themed Lego challenge where we will listen to an introductory story and watch a Lego movie while you create. 

Music classes are coming to the Vickery Park Branch!

Kids can have some STEAMy fun afterschool! Create something using Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Math.

All supplies will be provided. Open to ages 5 and up. A different project or theme each month.

Join us for a lovely family movie night! This is geared towards whole families and we will be spreading out in our auditorium. Please bring snacks and blankets or floor cushions to stay comfy while watching the movie.
