Come celebrate the many talented artists who work at Central Library!

This exhibit features a variety of works by 20 artists, ranging in mediums from sculpture to fiber to jewelry and more. 

Embark on an exciting scavenger hunt at the library! Each month, explore the nooks and crannies of the library to uncover the hidden pictures! Once you've found them all, stop by the information desk for a special prize!

Practice the skills you need to be ready to read. Hear stories, sing songs, jump around, and learn! 

Suggested ages: 18 months - 3 years old.  

The Central Library hosts a creative writing club every first and third Saturday of the month!
We hope to build a supportive group that provides accountability, helps you stay motivated, and shares in the joys and woes of creative writing.

Get your hands dirty at the Forest Green Branch Library’s community garden!

Trained VITA VOLUNTEER tax filers will be on-site to help maximize your returns and check your eligibility for Earned Income Tax Credits. Remember to bring all of your important tax documents including any W-2s.

1 on 1 dedicated help with a staff member from the Dallas Public Library. We can help you fill out applications, update your resume and find out about local resources that can help you take the next step in your career.

Learn the basics of computer formatting from typing, accessing the web, and learning general computer software and more. 

Sometimes you just need to take a load off and play a game with friends. We will be exercising our brains and scrabbling together for the morning. We will have multiple boards available.

We will have a speaker from the Texas Sons of the American Revolution here to talk on the topic of The Galvez Expedition and Spain's Support of American Independence.

Bring a touch of the ocean into your artwork with our Seashell Painting Workshop! Participants will receive a variety of seashells to paint and decorate, using different techniques such as dot painting, metallic finishes, and intricate designs.

Registrants receive a painting kit to be picked up at the Polk Wisdom Branch IN-PERSON at the program .

Link up with other teens that love to play games. Each month will feature different games and range from card games to board games to video games.

Imagination Playground - Big Blue Blocks
