Join us at the library as we go over some quilting basics. Using a sewing machine you will piece together a simple placemat sized quilt top! You can take it home and use it to make something larger, or simply turn it into a placemat.

We will be learning about different folk arts and creating instruments, crafts and art that reflect the vast array of Latin American cultures.

Wind down at the library with a peaceful coloring hour filled with relaxing meditation music. Take an adult coloring book with you to continue the fun at home! All materials provided.

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Come celebrate by having henna done by Haus of Henna!

Calling all sewers, knitters, quilters, and embroiders! Come to our Sew and Tell with your latest project as we share tips and ideas. Beginners welcome! Bring your own supplies or try out one of our provided kits.

We're having a Plant Swap at Bachman Lake Library! Adopt a free house plant, share cuttings, or drop off any plants you no longer want. We will have a table set up inside the lobby.

This is a come and go event. 

Learn how to read music, understand chord and melodic theory, and to play the piano or keyboard. Participants are encouraged to attend a weekly class, but can join at any time.

Come and join our chess club to practice, learn, and sharpen your chess skill in a friendly environment. All skill levels welcome! Learn to play - no experience necessary! Happens every second and fourth Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

Interested in learning to play the guitar? Dust that guitar in the corner off and let's play some songs. You'll learn basic chords and strumming patterns, as well as a bit of music theory in the process.

Learn how to make your own comic from a professional illustrator! We will provide all the supplies and tools, just bring your comic ideas and we will bring them to life! 

Recommended age for this program is 8-12.
