For the first time in nearly 3 years, we're kicking off SMART Summer in person at the Lochwood Branch Library!

Kick off a SMART summer by trying out our SMART stations!  You can do activities in Science, Math, Art, Reading and Technology!

It's summer! Starting at 10:00, get a free book, complete some fun crafts and register for your SMART Summer. For one day only, we will be handing out a special prize to every child who signs up, in-person, at the branch on Saturday, June 4.

An award reception will be held for students and participants who participated in the Spring Essay Contest (held in May 2022). Winners will receive recognition and prizes from the Friends of the North Oak Cliff Library.

Let's go Camping and meet some of the animals of Texas that are our neighbors and inhabit our own backyards as we go on a camp-IN at the library.  Live animals will be present!

Calling all sewers, knitters, quilters, and embroiders! Come to our Sew and Tell with your latest project as we share tips and ideas. Beginners welcome!

Adulting 101 is for Teens, tweens, and anyone wanting to get a better handle and knowledge on some basic life skills. This series will run every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month and highlight a different skill each week.

Learn how to read music, understand chord and melodic theory, and to play the piano or keyboard. Participants are encouraged to attend a weekly class, but can join at any time.

Interested in learning to play the violin? Join Bill Smith online Saturdays at 3 pm CST. The program will teach students the basics of playing the violin and reading music.
