Week Calendar

Calling all knit, crochet, needlepoint, cross-stitch, sewing and fiber arts enthusiasts!   Bring your projects and materials for a morning "in stitches" with other fiber craft artists.  All skill levels are welcome! 

Practice the skills you need to be ready to read. Hear stories, sing songs, jump around and learn!

Suggested ages: 18 months - 3 years old.

Playtime at Union has relocated just down the road to Playtime at Oak Lawn! Come join us for stories, songs, crafts, and other activities in our new and improved play-learning space!

Visit the Prairie Creek branch every Saturday from 10:00am - noon for our weekly gathering to share patterns, projects, and socialize.

Reading to therapy dogs can help improve kids' confidence in their reading abilities. Since dogs are not judgmental, kids can read to them without feeling the pressure and anxiety that may come from reading to peers. 

Join KERA KIDS and Peg + Cat in using wacky objects to measure everyday items. Math is a blast and measuring doesn't only happen with rulers! We'll also create our own scales to test the weight of things you find around the house. 

Hop in and check out and pet some of our rabbit friends brought in by the North Texas Rabbit Sanctuary. Learn about the care and differences in types of rabbits and maybe feed them a little carrot.

The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.

In celebration of the Lunar New Year we have invited Taiko drum ensemble, Goisagi Daiko to provide a traditional Japanese drum performance.

Are you new to drawing? Has it been some time since your last sketch? Want to learn the fundamentals every artist needs to start their journey?

In this warm DIY program, we will be making two candles each. There will be an assortment of scents to mix and match to make the perfect wintery candles just for you, or as a gift!

A hot bath is the perfect way to relax and unwind, especially during the winter months! Make a custom bath salt mix with your choice of Epsom salts, pink Himalayan salt, and a sprinkle of dried flowers.

Bluebonnet Book Club is back! Meetings will be held the 3rd Thursday of each month through February. The 5 books to be read were chosen in August at the kick-off meeting.  

Join us as we learn about the different phases of the moon using everyone's favorite treat, Oreos! We will learn about why the moon seems to get smaller and larger, and make our own moons of different sizes out of Oreos!
