Express yourself through digital art with a virtual 5 week program series.  Learn to create your own digital art and illustrate your own characters.

Learn from Briana Arrington- Dengoue a Philidelphia born and based illustrator and graphic designer who is a master in her field. Check out Briana's work on her website, briana-arrington.com. Briana will bring a fresh eye, fun, and inspiration to participants in the world of digital art. She will teach skills she uses in her career to create illustrations for books and promotional graphics for companies.

Learn the following skills:

  • Fundamentals of drawing on a digital platform.
  • Pencil use and different brush strokes.
  • Exploring other mediums.
  • Drawing for inspiration and doodling.
  • Character development.

The skills taught during this program can be a gateway to a future career in digital art.

We recommend using 2 devices one to create on and one to view the instruction. You can use the same device but you will have to switch between two different tabs. You will need an iPad, Procreate app, and an Apple pencil or stylus. You can use your finger, but we highly recommend using a stylus device.

If you are in need of an iPad to borrow for this program, iPads will be available to borrow at Highland Hills Branch Library and Paul Laurence Dunbar Lancaster- Kiest Branch Library. These will be availble to borrow a week before the program begins.

In order to borrow these iPads you will need the following:

  1. Be a teen resident of the city of Dallas. Ages 13-18 years.
  2. Have a student i.d/ report card present from a middle school or high school.
  3. Have a library card. If you do not have one we will issue one upon arrival.
