Survival in the wild is tough and danger lurks at every turn. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone always had your back and was looking out for you? There are many animals that work together to protect and warn each other of danger. Meerkats post a lookout, birds will screech before flight, rabbits thump their feet and hoof stock scatter in all directions, all to protect themselves and others. Summer 2023 is all about working together and cooperation, so let’s learn from some special animals about what they do to survive and help others.
Part of SMART Summer. Sponsored by the Friends of the Dallas Public Library
