Program Description

Event Details

Earth Day Every Day takes a break again this year from focusing on the environment to enjoying the fall season with a Halloween inspired chat. Join City of Dallas Archivist, John Slate as he takes us along some pathways into Dallas’ Cemeteries telling us the history of their origin, something about famous people buried in them, and maybe even a ghost story or two. It’s an interesting and slightly spooky adventure you won’t want to miss.

As the City of Dallas Archivist, John is responsible for gathering, preserving and protecting Dallas’ history. The course of history and history making events are endless, so his days are always busy!

Earth Day Every Day is a series of online environmental education sessions continuing with the Earth Day theme and bringing expert speakers, special program topics, and a reminder that every day is Earth Day. Presented by Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability (DEQS; Green Dallas).  These topics empower Dallas residents to make sustainable choices that improve the quality of life for everyone in Dallas and the world.

This program is available online only, through Zoom. Registration is required. Zoom information will be emailed the day of the program. Emails may go to your spam folder.
