The air we breathe directly affects our health. Breathing air pollution can lead to a wide variety of diseases and health conditions that can impact the quality of our lives and even shorten our lives. Join us for a presentation from Rachel McGregor of the Texas Trees Foundation to hear about the work that Texas Trees is doing to improve our air quality through their focus on trees. Some of the fantastic benefits of trees include clean air, temperature control, water filtration of storm water and urban runoff, erosion control, and wildlife habitat. Dr. Yolande Pengetnze and Akshay Arora from the Parkland Center for Clinical Innovation (PCCI) will share information on how the air quality inside our buildings as well as outdoor air quality have an impact on our health.
