The first Dallas Poet Laureate, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will hold office hours for aspiring poets in the city of Dallas! These sessions are designed to help Dallas poets work on individual poems and to eventually create a poetry manuscript.

Reading to therapy dogs can help improve kids' confidence in their reading abilities. Since dogs are not judgmental, kids can read to them without feeling the pressure and anxiety that may come from reading to peers. 

STEM fun is coming to the Skillman Southwestern Branch every third Wednesday of the Month! This program is intended for school-age children to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math in fun and interactive ways! 

Join us at Vickery Park for STEAM Programming!  This program allows school-age children to learn about science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Learn about the constellations we see in the night sky and recreate them right here on Earth! You can also use your imagination to make your own, brand new constellation and write a story to accompany it.

Wednesdays at 4pm will be the keyboard class with an emphasis on music theory!

This Booktober, we will learn about NaNoWriMo's (National Novel Writing Month) Young Writers Program and create a blank book to prepare for the November writing challenge.
