Theater Club Needs You!

The Youth Discovery Center is looking for young actors of all experience levels to join the Theater Club.

Learn all about exciting wild animals with a presentation from The Creature Teacher! Families will be able to see a variety of live animals up close, discover facts about their behavior and adaptive traits and maybe even pose for a picture.

One Saturday a month we do something fun for the whole family!

Create a design all your own or use one of the provided patterns to transform Perler Beads into some awesome pixel art!

Slay monsters, gather treasure and go on adventures with friends old and new! Dungeons & Dragons sessions, led by Thomas Acebo, meet every second and fourth Saturday of the month. 

Paint outside the lines and unlock your creative streak with an all-access pass to artistic exploration! From paints to pastels, pencils to markers, young artists will dive brush-first into a world of imagination.

Do you want to learn how to play chess?  Are you a chess enthusiast or looking for someone to play against? Then come check out Mountain Creek our Chess Club! Chess boards are provided.

Refuel afterschool with a free nutritious super snack for ages 1-18. Meals are made possible through the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Child and Education PV.

As we celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Month, we will learn about different Asian Cultures and will highlight a new country each week.

Learn about sequencing, estimation, control and problem-solving as you develop a path to early cyber knowledge through the use of a Sphero Indi, a Bee Bot, a Space Rover and more.

Make a beautiful Cherry Blossom windsock to hang in your window!

Come find out about the courageous children of the Czech Kindertranport and Nicholas Winton. 

Participants will use common household supplies objects such as vegetable oil, food coloring, Alka Seltzer and a glass container in order to create a lava lamp.

Help us celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Month (AAPI) with a lei making craft.

Come have fun and get creative with some fun after-school crafts while getting to make new friends. 

All materials will be provided and you can take home your creations!

What are optical illusions? How do they trick your eyes? We will investigate how to look past these visual tricks as we attempt to compare sizes, count elements and focus on repeating patterns.
