Theater Club Needs You!

The Youth Discovery Center is looking for young actors of all experience levels to join the Theater Club.

Are you having trouble in Math?   Get FREE tutoring Saturdays 10am - 12pm from Intellichoice Math Tutors.  Available for all students up to grade 12.

Stop by throughout the day for crafts, activities and more for the whole family.

10:30 AM: Mini-Storytime and Craft for kids 5 and under

Slay monsters, gather treasure and go on adventures with friends old and new! Dungeons & Dragons sessions, led by Thomas Acebo, meet every second and fourth Saturday of the month. 

Learn how to make your own working rain stick out of household materials. Rain sticks have been found in cultures all over the world for many years.

Paint outside the lines and unlock your creative streak with an all-access pass to artistic exploration! From paints to pastels, pencils to markers, young artists will dive brush-first into a world of imagination.

Do you want to learn how to play chess?  Are you a chess enthusiast or looking for someone to play against? Then come check out Mountain Creek our Chess Club! Chess boards are provided.

Refuel afterschool with a free nutritious super snack for ages 1-18. Meals are made possible through the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Child and Education PV.

As we celebrate the tenants of Earth Day all month long, we will be using our reduce, reuse, recycle skills for our crafts. Who is ready to make another owl!

Flex your engineering skills and creative muscles with building bricks!

Each month will have a different theme.

All supplies provided. 

Take a trip to the cinema with a monthly movie screening showing new films as well as familiar favorites. Watch a movie, bring a snack, and spend some time with new friends!

All films will be rated G or PG.

Perot Musuem's Ozobots program introduces children to the basics of coding, robotics, and interactive learning through hands-on activities.

Bring the family for a kid-friendly movie screening. Repeats weekly. 

Join us for an exciting Nintendo Switch play day, where you can team up with friends, try out new games, and show off your skills!

Water Movement is a fantastic little bit of STEM science that shows the rather special water movement against gravity. It’s called Capillary Action.

Join us for board games at the library! Bring your friends for a fun-filled day of classic and new board games.

With Lego you can build a world of your imagination. Each month, we will have a different Lego challenge for your kiddos to tackle.

Get ready for spring with a personalized kite! 

Spend your afternoon playing board games at the library.

Visit the Prairie Creek branch every week after school on Tuesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm for fun filled activities.

William Faulkner wrote an obscure children's book. That' odd, but far more intriguing than the mere existence of the book is bizarre story of how it came to be. 

Come hear and see the story of this book. 

Come have fun and get creative with some fun after-school crafts while getting to make new friends.

We will have the Switch and enough controllers for 8 players!

Practice your reading skills in a fun, relaxed environment by reading to a therapy dog! These trained therapy dogs will be the most well behaved and kindest paw-dience you have ever had. 

Join us the 2nd Thursday of every month for a themed Lego challenge. Work solo or in a team and flex your imagination and creation skills!

Calling all gamers!

Thursdays afterschool we explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through fun and creative projects!

Recommended for ages 6 to 11 years old.

Crack the case with some hands-on STEM sleuthing! The Girl Scouts STEM On-The-Go Van is rolling into town, and they're bringing an exciting forensic science activity for school-age kids.

Need a little extra help with your homework? Let us help!

Hang out and play some of your favorite Switch games.
