Visit the Prairie Creek branch every week after school on Tuesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm for a fun filled Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math activity!

Come have fun and get creative with some fun after-school crafts while getting to make new friends. 

All materials will be provided and you can take home your creations!

Make a splash with a craft that’s truly one-of-a-kind! School-age kids will dive into a fun session of creating salt-art jellyfish using watercolor techniques and textured designs.

Explore science, engineering, and crafts in a hands-on, creative setting! Participants will experiment, build, and design fun projects that spark curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity.

Build It!
Design, create, and problem-solve in this hands-on construction experience using LEGO bricks. Build, test, and experiment as you explore creativity, teamwork, and basic engineering—bringing your ideas to life one brick at a time.

Visit us at Vickery Park for Steam Programming, a program designed for school-age children to explore and learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Crafters unite! To make perler bead creations. Each month we will be making a different themed masterpiece. All skill-levels are welcome.

¡Feliz Día del niño! Every year on April 30th, Mexico celebrates El Dia del Nino, or Children's Day, a heartfelt celebration of the youngest members of our society.

 📚 Need a little homework help? Kids ages 6–12 can bring their questions to the library and get help from our staff.  📚

In celebration of Día del Nino we have invited Kelechi to provide a theater workshop entitled, "Movement and Myth: Aztec Stories through Nonverbal Performance".

In this STEM afterschool activity, learn about the science of how kites fly, decorate your own kite, and (weather permitting) go fly it outside to see the physics of flying in action!

Tomorrow is National Space Day! Take off with us as we explore each planet in our solar system. We will make a model of the planets as we visit each one.

Calling all gamers! Come and meet, chat, play and challenge fellow gamers! Every Thursday we will have our gaming system available and will be hosting gaming sessions.

Crafternoon is our semi-regular craft time. Three Friday afternoons  each month, stop in to create a fun and easy age-appropriate craft for pre-school and school-age children.

Uncover the mysteries of the great outdoors—right in the heart of the city! Families are invited to step into the role of nature detectives led by a Cedar Hill State Park Ranger.
