Slay monsters, gather treasure and go on adventures with friends old and new! Dungeons & Dragons sessions, led by Thomas Acebo, meet every second and fourth Saturday of the month. 

The Youth Discovery Center is hatching some painted lady butterflies! Come down to see our little caterpillar friends and watch them go through metamorphosis over the next few weeks!

Game on and level up spring break fun! The YMCA game truck will roll in packed with awesome consoles and exciting games for families to enjoy together.

Join us each month as we read a book and do a craft based on the book we read. This is geared towards kindergarten through 2nd graders. 

Calling all kid builders!

Come to the Lochwood Branch Library and build with LEGO bricks. Challenge your brain with some exciting builds and have lots of fun! We supply the LEGO bricks, you supply the creativity and positive attitude!

Build It!
Design, create, and problem-solve in this hands-on construction experience using LEGO bricks. Build, test, and experiment as you explore creativity, teamwork, and basic engineering—bringing your ideas to life one brick at a time.

Take a trip to the cinema with a monthly movie screening showing new films as well as familiar favorites. Watch a movie, bring a snack, and spend some time with new friends!

All films will be rated G or PG.

Crafternoons is a creative event held every other Wednesday at the Vickery Park Branch Library. Unleash your creativity and enjoy an afternoon of crafting and artistic expression!

Crafternoon is our semi-regular craft time. Three Friday afternoons  each month, stop in to create a fun and easy age-appropriate craft for pre-school and school-age children. 

Visit the Prairie Creek branch every week after school on Tuesdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm for a fun filled Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math activity!

Come have fun and get creative with some fun after-school crafts while getting to make new friends. 

All materials will be provided and you can take home your creations!

Code-crackin’ and history-hackin’ awaits! Kids will learn about Grace Hopper, the groundbreaking computer scientist who helped shape modern programming, and discover how her genius changed the tech world.

Unleash your imagination at the Lakewood Branch’s Lego Hour!  This will be a dedicated hour for building whatever you’d like using Legos.  Build and chat with others as you work together or get inspiration for your own projects. 

Join us the 2nd Thursdays of every month for a themed Lego challenge. Work solo or in a team and flex your imagination and creation skills!

Practice your reading skills in a fun, relaxed environment by reading to a therapy dog! These trained therapy dogs will be the most well behaved and kindest paw-dience you have ever had.
