Celebrate Pride Month with these fun programs to celebrate, honor, and highlight LGBTQ history and achievements.
- June 3, 10, 17 & 24 at 6 p.m.- University of Drag- Learn how to create your drag persona, beat your face for the gods, dress to express, and slay the floor. Presented in conjunction with Hug It Out, Dallas Hope Charities, and Dallas ISD GSA.

June 9 at 7 p.m.- Queerdown: Country Queer- Dust off your boots, shake out that rhinestone-studded jean jacket and celebrate queer artists in country music in our first Queerdown! Let's get Country queer as we kick off Pride Month, country style.- (Teens & Adults)
- June 12 at 6:30 p.m.- Queer Reads Book Club- For LGBT Pride Month we're reading selections from The Deviant's War: The Homosexual vs. the United States of America by Eric Cervini

- June 16 at 10:30 a.m.- PRIDE Storytime- The library is pleased to offer our LGBTQ-themed storytime just in time for PRIDE Month. Come enjoy stories and songs to help us celebrate LGBTQ PRIDE. This storytime is open to anyone and everyone that loves to celebrate diverse families.

- June 16 at 7 p.m.- Drag King Werkshop- Drag Kings might be a few steps behind Queens in the limelight, but they've been performing alongside their counterparts for years. From Elvis impersonators to Dallas' own, Buck Wylde, Kings have been making ripples in the fishy waters and it's time to make a splash! Austin performer and Drag King, The Great Tex is here to answer questions and give us a little behind the beard look at their drag lewk, and how you can do it at home!

- June 23 at 10:30 a.m.- Drag Queen Storytime Live From...The Rose Room- We're taking storytime out of the library! Tune in for songs and stories on-site from a special location around Dallas. This time we'll be coming to you live from the Rose Room with special guests, drag queens Cassie Nova and Miss Jenna Skyy!

- June 30 at 7 p.m.- Queering Fanfiction- Sherlock/Watson, Regina Mills/Emma Swan, Dean/Castiel, Azula/Katara, and so much more! Ships have sailed and we're here for it! Let's talk about Queer FanFiction (or Slash Fiction) making our OTP's come to life. They may not be canon, but they are in our hearts.
