Many of us are spending more time at home and looking for ways to expand our living space to our yards and grow our own food. Starting a garden design plan from scratch can quickly become overwhelming.   Garden designer, Melissa Tyree, will teach you how to develop your own personal garden design plan to save time and money while growing with nature in mind.

Melissa Tyree is a gardener and designer based in Dripping Springs, TX. She organically nourishes her half acre homesite with multiple raised vegetable gardens, over a dozen different fruit trees varieties and native/adapted plants. Her most influential garden experience is spending her weekends growing up on a 500 acre Christmas tree farm in Northeast Texas and watching her parents convert to organic practices. Melissa holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a Construction Management specialty from Texas A&M University and a M.S. in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas. As a Hays County Texas Master Gardener, she enjoys helping others discover the joy of raising their own food and enhancing their lives through growing plants in harmony with nature.

Grow with Us is a series of online sessions from the Dallas Public Library - Seed Library and Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability hosting expert speakers to share practical, informative, and inspirational information about growing and urban agriculture in Dallas.
