Event Details

It’s that time of year again! People are spending more time outside, and in their yards, and so are the critters. While it’s nice to have a yard that friends and family can come over and enjoy, having a yard that attracts a variety of pollinators is a level we should all aspire to reach. Pollinators are responsible for helping plants of all kinds be successful, we have food because of pollinators. Let’s thank them by having some of their favorite plants in our yards, helping them while they help us.

We’ll be hearing about some popular plants for pollinators in our state from Janet D. Smith, Texas Master Gardener. She has been a Master Gardener for nearly 20 years, has earned multiple certificates, and has received many accolades for her dedication to the program. Her specialties include native and adapted plants and attracting animals that are signs of a vibrant garden such as butterflies, birds, and bees.

Grow with Us is a series of online sessions from the Dallas Public Library - Seed Library and Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability hosting expert speakers to share practical, informative, and inspirational information about growing and urban agriculture in Dallas.
