Grow with Us: Sun-Loving Plants

As we all know, living in Texas means lots of sunlight – especially in the summer months! As much as we love to see all the lovely plants growing in our gardens and throughout our communities, there are many plants that are better suited for long periods of sunlight than others. Join us as we soak up some rays of information from Rusty Allen about plants that thrive under the Texas sun!

Rusty Allen is currently the Education and Outreach Coordinator for North Haven Gardens and is a North Texas Master Naturalist as well as a Texas Certified Nursery Professional. He has a varied background in the fields of retail, design, and horticulture. His experience has led to a long, successful career educating of sharing his love of plants with the world.

Grow with Us is a series of online sessions from the Dallas Public Library - Seed Library and Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability hosting expert speakers to share practical, informative, and inspirational information about growing and urban agriculture in Dallas.
