Did you know that roughly half of the produce in the U.S is thrown away?  The Harvest Project is a 100% volunteer run organization that works to keep that food out of the landfill.  Cofounder Danae Gutierrez will share how Harvest Project has been able to accomplish this while providing fresh produce to families in need at no cost.   So far they have been able to redirect 16 million pounds of produce and provide quality fruits and vegetables to over 1.5 million people while also composting over 3 million pounds of produce.
