Gardening is not just good for the planet but good for people, too. Learn from Brenda Golderos, City of Dallas Fitness Supervisor, the pluses of gardening even in the Texas heat! Gardening is a form of exercise using almost every muscle group and you will not even know you moved a muscle. Stress and change are prevalent in our lives and continuing to garden or taking it up as a new activity can relieve stress and have other wonderful benefits. It will green up your world and brighten your outlook adding to a healthier lifestyle.

Brenda dedicates her life to helping the 12,000+ City of Dallas employees add fitness and healthy living to their day-to-day lives. Coming from a beautiful island country, Puerto Rico, she is well versed in plants of all types and the wellness benefits of being outdoors. Puerto Rico has the only tropical rain forest in the U.S. National Forest Service. Take a lunch break to enjoy Grow With Us and meet Brenda.

Grow with Us is a series of online sessions from the Dallas Public Library - Seed Library and Dallas Environmental Quality and Sustainability hosting expert speakers to share practical, informative, and inspirational information about growing and urban agriculture in Dallas.
